MARAGON EARLY LEARNING CENTRE
As the Centre Director at Princeton Pre-School, I (Alison Wade), have been the leader of our team since March 2015. I have held various roles within the Early Learning sector over the last 11 years. As a parent myself I understand the importance of quality care for children.
Princeton Pre-School offers a specialised 2-5 year old Junior Kindy program. The program allows for enriched development in the specific areas of language, literacy and mathematics. Our curriculum draws upon the Early Years Learning Framework, whilst maintaining an awareness of the Australian Curriculum. Specialised programs such as Happy Feet, Little Dragons and Italian lessons feature through the program. We employ aspects of Montessori practices and philosophy within our Centre. Children are supported to be independent learners and are given the guidance and scaffolding to be autonomous participants in daily tasks, explore their individual strengths and interests within our program and to care for our environment.
Princeton’s educators form meaningful and respectful relationships with all children and families. We welcome parents and members of our community to participate in enhancing our strong links within our local community. Our collaborative partnerships with our families and the broader community allow us to embrace our cultural differences and diversity.
The long-term staffing arrangements at Princeton Pre-School’s enhance the children’s learning and development through respectful and nurturing relationships. We view children as active participants in their own learning journey and provide experiences and opportunities that allow them to build their social competence and inspire their learning journey.
Our rooms are designed to stimulate engagement and to encourage exploration, creativity and imaginative play. We cater for all children’s interests – those who like to construct and create, children who love to dance and move and children who like to spend some quiet time reading and thinking in a peaceful environment.
Princeton Pre-School has for the second year been selected to participate in the ELSA (Early Learning STEM Australia) national pilot program for 2019. ELSA is a play-based digital learning program for children in preschool to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) practices. ELSA allows children to play, experiment and make sense of the world around them. Book your tour and join us on this incredible journey of learning and exploration as we grow young STEM thinkers for the future! Meet the TEAM
Alison has been the Centre Director at Princeton Pre-School for over 3.5 years, often seeing children begin as toddlers and waving them goodbye as they begin their pre-primary journey. The team is also led by a passionate and caring Early Childhood Teacher. Together with our team of highly qualified educators we are able to capture children’s joy, sense of wonder and discovery through activities and learning experiences that build the skills and concepts that lay the foundation for school readiness.
What People Say
We started our journey with Princeton Pre School back in 2014 when my son started. Since then I’ve had several children and nephews continue.
I very much value their Education program based around the Reggio Emilia and Montessori approach. I believe the program has been a great way to introduce them to formal learning and prepare them for school. My kids have always been very happy attending and have also enjoyed the extension programs offered such as Happy Feet.
We continue to have positive experiences with the staff who are enthusiastic and caring. They go to great lengths to provide regular feedback to the families.
As a mother, I have felt confident leaving my children in the care of Princeton Pre School. I know they will have fun learning, come home happy and be safe throughout their day.
Princeton is an amazing school that has given my children so much confidence and knowledge that has prepared them for pre-primary. The centre is very clean and very well organised and I can’t praise the staff enough. They are a beautiful bunch of ladies that treat their children like their own.
I would send my child here in a heartbeat! My son has been going to school for almost two years now and still talks about froggy school and how he would like to go back there. The teachers there are amazing and are ones that child remember for ever could not say one bad thing about this centre. Only down fall i have to wait for my youngest to turn two to take him.
We spent a lot of time investigating and trialing schools for our Daughter so it comes as no surprise that we are very happy with Froggy School.
We know that a lot of time and effort goes into caring for all the children and we know that our Daughter loves going to Froggy school.
But what really surprised us was how far the carers will go to meet the children’s needs.
Ms Barge told us one day that our little girl wanted to build an Elsa Castle but had difficulty understanding exactly what this involved. A few days later, and after many sessions with our daughter looking at pictures and diagrams on her iPad, Ms Barge helped her and her friends build a wonderful Elsa Castle. This persistence and attention to our child’s needs was well beyond our expectations, particularly when we have noticed that this is not a case of singling out one child for extra attention as all children seem to get a lot of one-on-one attention at foggy school.
So thank you Ms Barge and all the other staff at Froggy School. And thank you for the opportunity to provide some feedback
Our second child (2.5yrs) is now attending Froggy School and absolutely loving it. I enjoy watching his interests growing and being cultivated through the interest-based learning approach. Every staff member at Princeton is priceless with each bringing their own interests and strengths ensuring that the children at Princeton are receiving the best possible care and growth opportunities.
I am also very proud that “Froggy School” is rated as an “Exceeding Centre” and work very hard to keep it that way. Well done Ms Rachel Barge – your hard work and endeavour to be the best has paid off! Thank you for giving my children the best possible start.
